The DTS-13 Handheld Night Vision Monocular is a powerhouse of functionality in a portable, easy-to-use package, offering a wide 50° field of view for superior situational awareness. Its primary advantage is multi-role adaptability: it excels as a handheld scanner for patrols and inspections, can be quickly mounted to a helmet for hands-free operation using ubiquitous Picatinny or helmet shroud adapters, and can also interface with weapon mounts for limited engagement purposes.
The device features a system for adjustable magnification through the replacement of the front objective lens, allowing users to switch between wide-area search and detailed observation. It incorporates a built-in IR illuminator with auto-gain control that dynamically adjusts output based on ambient light, preserving battery life and maintaining stealth.
